Light Vs. Darkness (Drawing: AEP)
Students are to interpret their understanding from the Bible verse “John 1:5 (Phi) The light still shines in the darkness, and the darkness has never put it out”. They have to use charcoal as medium to manipulate still life object, light bulbs in their response. They have to demonstrate their understanding of elements and principles of art.
Our Favourite Thing (Drawing: AEP)
The students had to bring favourite objects to their Art class. They had to manipulate the objects by applying Art elements and principles.

Art as Food 2 (Drawing: GAP)Students are to use paper to simulate food texture. They also need to paint by using monochromatic colour.
What if legendary imaginative Italian painter, Giuseppe Arcimboldo drew well-known naturalist, Sir David Attenborough’s portrait? Students are to research Arcimboldo’s style of work and make a portrait drawing of Attenborough.
Mona Lisa's Day Out (Drawing: GAP)What if Mona Lisa was given a day’s break from the over-protective Louvre Museum? What would she have done? Students are to imagine and make interpretation from Mona Lisa’s face.
Bizarre Fruits (Drawing: GAP)Students are to make fruit drawing with colour pencil. They have to combine two different fruits together to create a new breed of fruit.
Bugs' World 2009 (Drawing: GAP)Students are assigned to make bug drawing with pencil. They have to include a small abstract photocopied texture (image from a breakfast cereal) as part of their bug drawings.
Distorted (Drawing: SAP)
These Sec 1 SAP students had to interpret “Distorted”. They had to make first hand observations drawings of themselves. They had to make experimental drawings by photocopying, cutting and applying mixed media.
Inspired (Drawing: SAP)These Sec 1 SAP students had to interpret “Inspired”. They had to transform an ordinary object into a “musical style” art work. This activity develops drawing skills and understanding of Elements/ Principles of Art.
Landscape of Desire (Drawing: SAP)These Sec 3 SAP students were asked to use cooking ingredients to make experimental landscape drawings. This activity develops drawing skills and understanding of space.
Object of Desire (Drawing: SAP)These Sec 3 SAP students were asked to transform a common household object into an “antique” vase. This activity develops pencil drawing skills.
Bugs' World (Drawing: GAP)
These Sec 2 students were given each a portion of a photocopied image. With the given image, they had to construct an imaginary world of extraordinary bugs, by manipulating texture, shapes and forms. They had to make some first hand observation drawings of bugs and create their own extraordinary versions. They had to choose one of the following themes: camouflage, violence, habitat, romance . This activity helps students to develop pencil shading skills and understand values.

- Portable Housing e.g. What if the habitats of animals or homes of humans can be easily carried or moved?
- Collapsible e.g. Designed to be folded flat when it is not being used or needed.
- Stackable e.g. Designed for the function to put in a pile, neatly arranged.
