Shaping Art Year 6-7

Shaping Art for Primary 5

I was privileged to co-authored Art textbook with Mr Heng Swee Kiang (a fellow passionate art teacher friend of mine) for the primary 5 in Singapore. ‘Shaping Art for Primary 5’ was written under Marshall Cavendish Education publications. ‘Shaping Art for Primary 5’ was written specially to stimulate primary school students into art by using their popular interests e.g. dinosaurs. This textbooks is currently still in use in parts of Asia including Singapore. How exciting is this!

My Art Adventures are Here! Shaping Art for Primary 5 inspires pupils by making art an adventure in the classroom. Developed to meet the new Art and Craffs syllabus requirements set by the Ministry of Education in Singapore, Shaping Art for Primary 5 presents art learning as an exciting and fun journey to be experienced by all pupils. Shaping Art for Primary 5 takes pupils through seeing their world, appreciating artworks and engaging in creative and critical thinking. It emphasises both the learning process and the finished product.
