What others said about my teaching...
“...I had the privilege of being under his tutelage for two years in the Art Elective Programme at Raffles Girls’ School Secondary...Mixing knowledge of art history, experimenting with different materials and methods, Mr Mah was never satisfied with ‘just covering content’ and carefully researched for and crafted each lesson, such that it was always interesting, thought-provoking and immensely enjoyable...Mr Mah also really knew how to bring out the best in us, not just in terms of artistic and creative flair, but in the way we critically think and understand the world around us. He constantly challenged and pushed us to question the status quo, encouraging us to look at things from new perspectives, which is probably the most difficult part of the job of any educator. But Mr Mah made it his personal conviction. It was an empowering experience for me, and Mr Mah encouraged and guided me to develop what is unique to me and what I can potentially achieve. His integrity, strength of ideas and firm belief in the power of art to transform people is something which I highly admire and aspire to even till today.”
Fu Yingzi, Raffles Girls’ School (Secondary)
